My name is Bill D'Innocenzo. I am the 'William' behind William Mark Photography -- Mark is my middle name.
I've been a hobbyist photographer for many, many years. Back in the mid '70's I bought my first SLR, a Minolta SRT-101. I shot lots of B&W which I developed and printed myself as well as color slides, mostly Kodachrome, and various color print film such as Ektachrome and all of its variations.
In the mid 80's I pretty much put down my camera and focused on finishing my college education, getting married and raising a family. In 2012 my son was participating in the U.S. Olympic Trials for USA Swimming. This was his second trip to Trials. I decided I needed to capture these precious moments. That's when I bought my first DLSR, a Nikon D3100 with the kit lens, 18-55mm f1:35-5.6, and a zoom lens, 55-200mm f1:4-5.6.
I quickly realized how much I missed photography. Not only did I photograph my kids at many, many swim meets, but I got back into photography as a major hobby. I don't label myself as any particular type of photographer, instead I like to try everything -- portraits, wildlife, landscapes, street, etc.
Having a camera in my hands makes me happy...
